Proper estate planning also involves planning for during your life. Documents include planning for incompetency, disability and guardianship of your minor children.


One tool is a Living Will which allows you to have a say in what happens to you “at the end of life”, so your family members don’t have to carry the burden of that decision. This is also sometimes referred to as your “right to die clause.” Only you or your family decides when your Living Will is to be used.


Proper Power of Attorneys in place for Health Care and your Assets are another great tool to utilize. These allow your family members to make financial decisions on your behalf and continue on with your affairs, without having to petition the court get court approval should something happen.



All these documents are estate planning tools that are used during your lifetime and will make a world of a difference should you ever find yourself in a situations.
